Well, my fifth year of the 102nd Bay to Breakers has been completed. Unlike when I was flakey and disorganized last year, I actually got it together to put together my zombie costume. And, somehow, despite my methodical decline into decrepitude--I'm now 45...or maybe 44--I ran two minutes under my time last year, and 3 minutes less than my first race in 2007 (
link to first race writeup). Go figure. Maybe decreased bone density?
Here's my time info:
Zombie at 6am. The start time was 7am. Which is crazy.
Pre-race, down at the Embarcadero.
I'm going to use this as my clinical head-shot.
At the finished line:
And then at the Devil's Tooth Bakery:
And then some of my fellow runners.
